Vivian Joseph Malpezzi

Vivian Joseph Malpezzi, born December 31, 1921 in Helena, Mont., passed away December 29, 2009 in Temecula, Calif. She was raised in Tacoma, Wash. and moved to California as a late teen.

A competitive athlete, Vivian was a junior tennis champion in the Pacific Northwest and a single-digit handicap golfer at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. A Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout supporter and prize rose gardener, Vivian was the co-founder with her husband of 53 years, William, of Golden West University School of Law, which she administered in tandem with California College of Law.

Vivian’s most cherished accomplishment was her family who was never far from her side. A Fallbrook resident since 1990, Vivian relished the country lifestyle frequently remarking, “this is the life!” She so enjoyed the Fallbrook community that for a brief period Vivian was a small business owner in town.

Vivian joins in heaven her beloved parents, Ethel and Joe Joseph, and her most loved husband, William (“Bill”) Malpezzi. Vivian will be deeply missed by her three children John Malpezzi (Los Angeles, Calif.), Michael Malpezzi (Bonsall, Calif.) and Marisa Dehm (Fallbrook, Calif.); two step-children Bill Malpezzi (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Tay McClellan (Laguna Nigel, Calif.), 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Vivian will be remembered in a Catholic mass at her parish in Brentwood, St. Martin of Tours Church.
