Jazz festival dedicated to Ella Fitzgerald, to feature Poncho Sanchez

TEMECULA – Thousands will converge at a Temecula jazz festival to celebrate Ella Fitzgerald, one of America’s most popular female jazz singers for half a century.
The 2010 Temecula Valley International Jazz Festival (TVIJF) will be held July 9 to 11 in the Temecula’s wine country.
In her lifetime, Fitzgerald won 13 Grammy awards and sold over 40 million albums.
She worked with all the jazz greats, from Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Nat King Cole to Frank Sinatra, Dizzy Gillespie and Benny Goodman.
