Round-Up Feed is based on two firm commitments – providing excellent customer service and carrying the inventory that their customers want. Clients have appreciated Round-Up Feed’s quality items and competitive pricing.
“We have a large selection of food and supplies for all your pet and livestock needs from special order to everyday necessities,” said Dorena Johnson. “Our feed store is conveniently located, easy to get to, and has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff that is ready to help answer any questions or concerns you might have.”
Catering primarily to equine and farm animals, Johnson said their shelves are also filled with dog and cat supplies.
From feed to daily care items, Round-Up Feed meets the need horses have. The facility is full of hay and performance feed. “We offer a wide variety of forage hay,” Johnson said.
Round-Up Feed’s hay menu includes two types of alfalfa, bermuda grass, timothy grass, orchard grass and oat hay. The store’s team can help equine owners when choosing hay based on protein, moisture and roughage content. Each type of hay has a particular purpose for horses.
“We have a large variety of senior feed for the elder equine companion as well as supplements for the senior horse,” Johnson said. This senior feed inventory includes Nutrena, Purina, Kruse, Equus, Integrity, Triple Crown and John Lyons.
Its products and supplies, Johnson said, are up-to-date and fresh.
In addition to equine feed, this store offers a host of other products, such as bell boots, splint boots, shipping or standing leg wraps, hay bags, halters, fly masks, lead ropes, hoof care, bathing and brush items, and more.
“We also have medicines, sprays, salves, gels and poultice for soreness heat and inflammation relief,” she said. “We carry some very nice tack at reasonable prices, mainly Western style, and also have blankets and saddle pads.”
The other types of feed it offers are for rabbits, emus, ostriches, parrots, pigeons, lambs, hogs, and organic chicken feed. “And if we don’t have what you are looking for, we can usually get it,” Johnson said. “We do special orders all the time.”
For dogs and cats, Round-Up Feed offers food selections as well. In addition, one has choices pertaining to flea control products, crates, treats, chews, toys, water bowls, leashes, and beds.
“Everyone who works at Round-Up in Bonsall is an animal and/or equine owner themselves,” said Johnson, who began riding horses at three years of age. “We try to be very knowledgeable and up to date on the newest products or newest feed out for your consideration.”
Round-Up Feed strives hard to be different than other feed stores. For starters, it is impeccably clean. It also has a quaint gift corner for equine lovers. These reasonably priced must-haves include frames, trinkets, candle holders, artwork and stationary.
For those who have yet to stop by and visit Round-Up Feed, Johnson extends a warm welcome to all. “If you haven’t been in to visit us, do stop by and say, ‘Hi,” because we’d love to see you,” she said.
