The Temecula/Wildomar Ace Hardware stores specialize in personal service. The stores help customers find the right products, while offering informative advice in how it should be used.
“We really do cater more to the homeowner and small business,” said Steve Davis, sales and marketing manager of Temecula/Wildomar Ace Hardware. “We do a lot of training, so our in-depth knowledge gives good customer service to specialized projects.”
The uniqueness of Ace, Davis said, is they can do what the “big boys” do, while offering a more one-on-one approach. Many of its customers rely on Ace to guide them in home repairs, particularly, those “fix it” plumbing, landscape and electrical ventures.
After hearing the symptoms of a problem, Ace can hone in on the assistance needed.
“We want to make sure that you come in here only one time and not 45 times to finish that one project,” Davis said. “After you communicate with us, we’ll figure out what the problem is, decide the best plan of action, fit you with what you need, how to fix it, and then say goodbye; and the next time we see you, it’ll be when you are working on a different project.”
Ace offers an array of inventory items for home repairs, paint products and accessories, customized paint mix and match, plumbing and landscaping. Their outside garden and outdoor living department brims with attractive selections. Likewise, their hand tool and power tool supply, along with its product guarantees, remains superior.
If one is in search of something not in stock, Ace will find it. It has nearly 500,000 stock numbers available with other vendors.
“I can pretty much assure you that if somebody wants something we can get it for them,” said Davis, noting how old appliance parts and other specific parts are always in demand. “If you want something unique, come to us.”
The price tags at Ace are reasonable, because it’s geared more towards the homeowner and not large construction needs. Shoppers will not be bound to buying contractor packs. Davis said his customers are continually shocked in how competitively priced they are.
A new branch of service in its Temecula location has raised Ace to a whole new level: a uniform and tactical shop. At a section of this spacious store, P&P Uniforms is offering inventory lines such as 5.11 Tactical Series, Streamlight, Under Armour, Galco Gunleather, Tru-Spec, Fobus Holsters and Pouches, Hogue Grips, Smith & Wesson, Blackhawk, Maglite and more.
“Cal Fire, Highway Patrol, correction officers, and parks and recreation just love us,” Davis said. “We are a very unique hardware store.”
Davis truly believes that what separates their businesses from their competitors is their willingness to help and their commitment to customer care.
Their dedication to helping others has branched out to community involvement. Ace has partnered in events including Senior Career Day, Temecula Help Ride, Old West Chili, Grub & Brew Roundup, Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival, Cowboy Jubilee & Music Festival.
Their pledge to the youth is evident through its popular Ace Kids Club. Their Temecula store is rapidly growing in kid numbers.
“Once a month, we have 20 to 40 kids in this store doing projects and it’s been great,” Davis said.
Kids Club is free and it’s a time where imaginations can soar with crafts, games, and activities.
Davis calls himself fortunate to have an employer like, Paul Shanabarger, who promotes the well-being of children.
Over the years, the mission for Ace has always been the same.
“It’s to give the best customer service we possibly can and to offer the best assortment of products,” said Davis. “We are just so pleased to be here for our customers.”
