Grange focuses on families

RAINBOW—Rainbow Valley Grange #689 started 2010 with the installation of its new officers, which was followed by a chili dinner. The Grange, originally founded by farmers, offers individuals of all ages the opportunity to share interests and help their community. While many of the families raise animals to show at the fair, that’s just one of the activities available to members. Monthly craft days, movie nights and a gardening workshop are being planned for this year.

New members are welcome to join and do not have to live in Rainbow. Meetings are usually the second Saturday of each month, yet the next meeting has been moved to the third Saturday, Feb. 20, due to the holiday weekend. For more information, call (760) 489-9502.
