Folk duo Little Windows to perform in Fallbrook

FALLBROOK – Mark Weem and Julee Glaub tour nationally and abroad, as the folk duo Little Windows, focusing on traditional songs of Ireland and Appalachia with their tight harmonies. They will appear on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Woman’s Club, 238 W. Mission, hosted by the Fallbrook Americana Music Series.

“We believe in the spiritual and emotional wealth of the songs and how their proper presentation can positively affect both ourselves and those who hear them,” says Glaub.

They back themselves on guitar, fiddle, banjo, flute keyboard and bodhran. Weem and Glaub have developed their own sound, deeply steeped in the traditions of the music they sing. Often when people leave their concerts they say, “I’ve never heard anything like it - they weave a lovely magic.”

Though they have both recorded with other artists, their first album together, “Just Beyond Me” was submitted for a Grammy and has been highlighted on NPR’s program “Thistle and Shamrock.” To read more about them, see http://www.littlewindows.net.

Tickets for the concert are available at Major Market and at the door, $15 for adults and $7 for kids 7-17. Call (760) 731-2278. For concert information, call 760-723-7255.
