John (Butch) Haworth III

John (Butch) Haworth III passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2010 at the age of 62 in Woodstock, Ga. after a long battle with cancer.

John Haworth was born in Fallbrook on Nov. 15, 1947 and spent most of his younger years in Fallbrook.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Haworth, of Woodstock, Ga.; children Michael (Kate) Haworth of Italy, Michelle (Elton) McCallop of Durham, NC, and Marcus Haworth of Woodstock, Ga.; father John Haworth Sr. of Montana; sister Patsy (Richard) Needham of Fallbrook; grandchildren Alexis and Jaidyn McCallop, Ethan Haworth and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John served in the Air Force and after his discharge served in the Postal Service as a security officer and then as a security specialist with the Air Force until his retirement after 31 years of service.

John was very active in his church, serving as Deacon and Elder. During his lifetime, he coached little league baseball and softball and was president of the football boosters while in San Diego, and a member of the cross-country boosters in Woodstock, Ga.

He also served a term as Scout Master in Boy Scouts of America.

John was interred at Georgia National Cemetery with full honors on Feb. 15, 2010.
