C.A.S.T. helps Live Oak with performing arts

Thank you to Ms. Hornsveld and her amazing cast of directors for helping Live Oak school and students put on an amazing three days of performances for Live Oak families and the community.

For the past six weeks, the director, Sandra Kopitzke, and Jennifer Hornsveld worked endlessly with Live Oak students and families to make this production a lifetime experience. Practices were held twice a week up to performance week, then daily to prepare the students for their shows.

Because of the educational budget cuts schools are experiencing, the Visual and Performing Arts in schools have taken a financial hit. Live Oak Elementary values its fine arts programs and is working to continue a partnership with the C.A.S.T. academy in hopes to continue providing this educational opportunity to its families and students.

Thank you once again C.A.S.T. and Ms. Hornsveld for providing our school with this rich opportunity that otherwise may not have been possible for many students. We look forward to working with your academy in the future.

Lillian Perez

Live Oak Principal
