Seminar on fall prevention offered

FALLBROOK – The Foundation for Senior Care is partnering with Fallbrook Home Health and Hospice to host an education seminar for seniors and caregivers at the Foundation’s Senior-Adult Day Care Center on Tuesday, March 23, from 2 to 3 p.m.

Referred by Fallbrook Home Health and Hospice, Licensed Nurse and Speaker Michelle Tyler will discuss “Fall Prevention” as there are many techniques one can use to reduce the risk of falling.

Tyler, a graduate of the University of Maryland with Honors in Sociology and Healthcare Management, brings an abundance of knowledge as she is President of Advanced Training Specialists, a national training company specializing in the areas of Alzheimer’s and dementia since 2002 and, to date, has provided training in 19 states.

The Foundation for Senior Care is happy to partner with Fallbrook Home Health and Hospice and provide a site for learning as fall prevention is a key component to the Foundation’s mission to keep seniors safe and independent.

The Foundation’s Senior-Adult Day Care Center is located at 320 W. Alvarado Street. For more information about the seminar, call the Foundation Office at (760) 723-7713. For more information about Fallbrook Home Health and Hospice and its services, call (760) 731-7735.
