Local troops to celebrate 100 years of Boy Scouting

VISTA – 2010 marks the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouting in the United States. To help celebrate this event in style, the Santa Margarita District will hold its annual dinner on Thursday, May 6, with the theme “Celebrating the Decades.” The event will be at the Latter Day Saints Church located at 451 W. Bobier in Vista.

A reception is at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner program at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased from Vic Enchelmayer at (619) 298-6121. For anyone who has been involved with scouting in the past, now is the time to come back, reconnect with old friends, and help the Boy Scouts celebrate.
