Fallbrook man ordered to stand trial for running toward two Oceanside police officers

VISTA - A Fallbrook man was ordered today to stand trial for allegedly driving his car toward two officers at Oceanside police headquarters, prompting one of them to draw his service weapon and duck behind a patrol unit for cover.

Bryan Pimm, 30, faces up to four years and eight months in state prison if convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism charges, said Deputy District Attorney Aimee McLeod.

After a half-day preliminary hearing at the Vista Courthouse, Judge Joel Pressman ruled there was enough evidence to order Pimm to stand trial May 11.
