Croswell birthday celebration held near tree donations

FALLBROOK - On March 4, longtime Fallbrook resident Daphne Croswell was treated to a different sort of surprise party for her 85th birthday. The site was North Gate Market along South Mission Road, where in 2008, Daphne donated 17 Silk Floss trees that she had grown from seed. The trees were planted by the Save Our Forest group and other volunteers within the Fallbrook Land Conservancy and have already added beauty to the area. The trees have spectacular pink orchid-like blossoms.
