Laughter filled the air when four comedians from the “Comics on Duty World Tour” caused bellyaching chuckles from service members to be heard throughout Paige Fieldhouse, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, March 5.
Since 1992, the Comics on Duty comedians have performed in more than 3000 shows worldwide in a committed attempt to boost morale of service members around the world. Two hundred and fifty of those shows have been in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“The show is a great place for Marines and sailors of all ranks to let loose and take a break from their daily routine,” said Gary Brightwell, comedian, Comics on Duty.
“It felt real good to relax and have a good laugh,” said Lance Cpl. Alex Dorifourt, personnel clerk, Headquarter Support Battalion, MCB Camp Pendleton. “I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard during a comedy show.”
