Cool temps and possible rain Wednesday through Thursday

SAN DIEGO - March has been like a lamb the past couple of weeks, but the month could go out like a lion with rain and snow coming to San Diego County, a National Weather Service meteorologist said today.

About a half-inch of rain should fall in coastal and valley areas from late Wednesday through Thursday morning, said Stefanie Sullivan of the NWS.

"It's a cold system that's coming down,'' Sullivan said. She said coastal high temperatures will plummet into the low-to-mid 60s by Tuesday and the high 50s on Wednesday.

The snow level will start at 5,000 feet -- low enough for the Laguna Mountains...
