Are we returning to slavery through Obamacare?

We constantly hear about slavery when the racist news media refers to Americans of Black Ancestry, but at one time the laws in this country, in England, and worldwide placed anyone (white or black) into servitude (slavery) who borrowed money and could not pay it back.

America was the first country in the world to outlaw slavery. Today, slavery still exists in parts of the world.

Socialization of healthcare is, in mine and many others opinion, a modified form of slavery. Are we, the “free and the proud,” returning to slavery?

Numerous surveys verify that approximately 80 percent of Americans are satisfied with the quality of their healthcare but healthcare cost may be problematic to some. However, emergency room healthcare is always lawfully available.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (brother of Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s Chief of Staff) is an administration point person in healthcare and advocates what he calls a “whole life system” – a system in which government makes treatment decisions for individuals using statistical formulae based on life expectancy and “social usefulness.” Healthcare plans emerging from Congress have a Medicare board of unelected “specialists” whose job would be to determine treatment tools needed to limit costs. The idea that our government should make (rationing) decisions about how long Americans live and who should be denied care is disgusting to Americans (Imprimis, February 2010).

After 50 years of daily work I refuse to allow Obamacare to dictate whether I should live or die; that is my decision, not Obama’s.
