Rockola generates funds and gratitude

I am writing on behalf of the Fallbrook Food Pantry, and the Fallbrook High School Warrior Band and Madrigals to thank the Village News and the North County Times for their outstanding coverage of the Third Annual Rockola Benefit Concert held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Bob Burton Performing Arts Center on the campus of Fallbrook High School.

Thanks also go out to the community of Fallbrook for supporting this important yet fun and joyous event. I am happy to report that after two years of being in the red, this year’s concert was in the black. Between ticket sales (286), the bake sale, and the silent auction, Fallbrook Food Pantry alone netted nearly $1,500.

As word continues to spread about how good Rockola truly is, we will continue with this event with the goal of selling it out every year (there are 538 seats). This year we had the largest and most appreciative crowd to date. With the support of the community, we will continue to grow the event to the benefit of the needy in our community and the Warrior musicians and singers!
