BONSALL – Ever try pickleball? Pickleball is often described as a cross between tennis, ping pong and badminton. It’s a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It’s played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a Whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It’s easy for beginners of all ages to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
Beginning April 10, free pickleball lessons will be offered to the public every Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the San Luis Rey Downs Tennis & Pickleball Club. All ages are welcomed. The club is providing paddles, balls and use of their courts. Classes will be limited to the first 16 people. Reserve your spot by emailing your name and phone number to [email protected].
