In response to Archie McPhee’s great letter, “Are we returning to slavery through Obamacare?” – I totally agree with Mr. McPhee. It is amazing that Congress passed legislation on health care contrary to the will of the people.

Mr. McPhee’s point of “whole life system” is scary, to say the least. The way I read the new law, is there will be a government panel or “Czar” of health care to ensure all will get a fair “trial” before you get rejected for a knee, hip, or other replacement surgery. You will no longer have a choice.

Further, Mr. McPhee is right on point, treatment decisions will be made on “social usefulness” and “life expectancy.”

Keep up the great letters Mr. McPhee. I hope the Village News continues to publish fair and balanced letters like Mr. McPhee’s.
