Virginia Hughes Brown

Virginia Hughes Brown, 94, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2010 due to natural causes. She was a resident of Fallbrook for 30 years.

She was born April 24, 1915 in Pittsburg, Penn., to a family of three brothers and three sisters. Virginia graduated from San Diego High in 1933 and completed Business College. She met and married the love of her life, Gaylord Brown, in 1940.

She put family first, working as a dental assistant and mom while her husband pursued an optometry degree and career after WWII.

Virginia had a good and generous heart. She enjoyed singing in the Presbyterian Church choir, Ebel Club, charity work, golf outings, and travel. Her many friends and relatives knew her sense of humor and caring nature.

She is survived by her husband, Gaylord; two sons, Steve and Gary Brown; granddaughter Laurie Fisher and great-granddaughters Elizabeth and Holly.

Memorial services will be held at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary Chapel, 333 N. Vine Street, Fallbrook on April 26 at 11 a.m.
