Fallbrook cribbage team wins first three matches of 2010

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Senior Center cribbage team made it three in a row on March 25 when they defeated the Oceanside team in the 40 player match. The Fallbrook team had 75 wins to Oceanside’s 65.

Luella Brotherton of the Fallbrook team had six wins with two skunks to take first place. The next two finishers each had five wins with a skunk; Carl Lutz coming in second and Sheryl Majeski taking third. Mitzi Potwora, Mel Thompson, Lois Ash, Carl Troupe, Cheryl Selvaggio and Barbara Sacic each had five wins without a skunk.

Jan Stuart collected a 28 hand in this match. She also had a 28 in the January 28 match.

A $25 gift card donated by the Albertson’s store in Fallbrook went to Carl Troupe of the winning Fallbrook Team.

The monthly matches are held at the Vista Elks Lodge 1947 E Vista Way, (760) 724-1968, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The next match will be on April 22.
