Ladies' luncheon and fashion show to be held on May 8 at Caf

The Fallbrook Historic Downtown Merchants Association (HDMA) will be hosting a ladies’ luncheon on Saturday, May 8, giving women a chance to enjoy a fashion show, a goody bag, lunch and the opportunity to support local businesses.

The luncheon will be held at Café des Artistes, located at 103 South Main Ave., from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Each woman will receive a lunch trio, which includes soup, salad, a sandwich, drink and dessert.

Goodie bags will also be given to guests, and will include Christmas Passports, which will be good until May 31.

After lunch, guests can enjoy a fashion show, which will feature clothing for men, women and children from the different retail shops found in downtown Fallbrook, such as JJ’s Beach and Board Shop, Caravans, A Few of our Favorite Things and Marie Antoinette’s Consignment Shop.

Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on unique items from Fallbrook’s downtown shops, which have been generously donated by members of the HDMA.

This is a perfect opportunity for mothers and daughters to begin their Mother’s Day celebrations, said Kelly Romero, a member of HDMA and owner of JJ’s Beach and Board Shop.

Admission is $18. Sign-up forms will be available at Café Des Artistes, the Village News, Wee Little Sprouts, The Jewelry Connection and Marie Antoinette’s Consignment Shop.
