Top ten reasons not to widen existing SR76

Thank you to everyone who has recently signed petitions endorsing an alternative route for the 76. For those who have yet to sign, here is what we’re proposing for the top ten reasons not to widen the existing SR76:

10. Number of commuters would increase dramatically

9. Over 4000 residents would be in evacuation danger

8. Traffic noise would increase

7. Pollution would increase

6. Concrete median would prevent turns into properties

5. Concrete median would restrict emergency vehicle access

4. Rural character of Fallbrook/Bonsall would be diminished

3. Dangerous curves would create greater safety concerns

2. Could negatively impact wildlife

1. Would interfere with traffic during construction

The solution: add a new safer stretch south of the current 76 (between Mission and the I-15) allowing the existing two lane route to become a frontage road.
