Zion students run race in Carlsbad

FALLBROOK – Zion Lutheran School had several runners participate in the Junior Carlsbad Race, which is a running event for kids 12 and younger that was held on April 10 and 11. First grader Trevor Luevano, fourth graders Travis Tysor and Rebecca Gordenier, fifth grader Sarena Sargent, and sixth grader Michael Sargent, ran in the Junior Carlsbad one mile race on Saturday, April 10.

“They all did an outstanding job of running,” said physical education teacher LaDorna Bunt.

Bunt and fourth grader Bethany Dean ran in the Carlsbad 5000, which is a three mile race, on Sunday, April 11.

“The students worked hard in PE to accomplish this goal,” said Bunt.
