FALLBROOK – At its meeting on April 26, the Foundation for Senior Care board of directors formally welcomed Dotty Metcalf as the Foundation’s newly appointed executive director.
Metcalf joined the Foundation family February 23, 2009 when she was unanimously voted onto the board of directors and later accepted the position of 2nd Vice President, serving as an officer since October 2009. She resigned as an officer on the board effective April 26 in order to accept the position of the Foundation’s executive director. Metcalf will officially assume her new role at the Foundation offices on May 10.
She replaces the Foundation’s former executive director Morgan Cadmus who left April 19 to accept the director of marketing position with Regency Fallbrook. Cadmus exceeded the expectations of the board by promoting the Foundation and its programs to the community for more than two and a half years. “Morgan performed tremendously on behalf of the Foundation and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” said Board President Jack Rockwell.
“I feel Morgan has done an excellent job of getting us where we are today and I believe I can take the Foundation a step further with concentration in the areas of fundraising and benchmarking our services,” Metcalf stated.
Under Metcalf’s leadership the Foundation will continue to focus in the direction of further developing its three core programs – the Senior/Adult Day Care Center, the Care Van and Senior Care Advocacy. “As I’ve said many times, I have a heart and passion for the elderly and I look forward to leading the Foundation as we help meet the needs of seniors and the disabled in our community,” she said.
The Foundation office is located in the Pittenger Parsonage Building at 135 S. Mission Road; the Senior/Adult Day Care Center is located in the Yount Building at 320 W. Alvarado Street.
