Fire danger signs get a makeover

FALLBROOK – They are hard to miss. They sit in prominent positions on the two most traveled routes into and out of Fallbrook. They are the “fire danger” status signs located on East Mission Road at the CDF Fire Station and also on South Mission near Hwy. 76 adjacent to the River View Shopping Center. These signs, erected several years ago by the Fallbrook Fire Safe Council, aim to keep residents and visitors updated on the area’s current fire conditions.

This most currently completed project of the Fallbrook Fire Safe Council refreshed, repainted and enlarged the graphics on the signs to make them more readable to passing motorists.

The Fallbrook Fire Safe Council reminds the community that Fallbrook cannot be made fireproof but working together residents can make it more fire safe. For more information about the Fallbrook Fire Safe Council, visit http://www.fallbrookfiresafecouncil.org.
