The Primary Election Guide lists numerous propositions for citizens to ponder. It also announces a number of state, local and judicial offices.
Recent rallies surrounding Tax Day, 15 April, have highlighted renewed citizen interest in government.
The Tea Party movement is receiving a high profile as a result of these rallies and there is much
misinformation going around about this nationwide movement. Citizens of Fallbrook have joined the mounting number of local Tea Party organizations too. (See both the April 1 and April 22 issue of Village News).
There are no requirements to join the Tea Party. We are a diverse nonpartisan group of citizens forming around the values we cherish. Our founders had the wisdom to put together a great Constitution and the right to free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom to bear arms are just a few of the freedoms U.S. citizens enjoy.
However, our representatives who took an oath to protect and to defend our constitution have a track record of legislating away the very rights they swore to protect.

If you care about our country enough to get involved with changing our government you may wish to consider attending Tea Party meetings too, in preparation for the coming primary elections.
