Tea & Summer Fashion Show will benefit abandoned pets

FALLBROOK – A “high-tea” party on Sunday, June 6, in Silvergate’s elegant great room from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. will benefit the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary. Along with tea, finger sandwiches and fresh scones, the event will include a fashion show. Local models will show the latest summer travel fashions, some of them accompanied by canine companions.

Tickets, which cost $23 per person, are available by reservation only due to limited seating. Anyone who brings two cans of Pedigree dog food or Fancy Feast cat food will receive a door prize. Attendees wearing a summer hat will be given another door prize. A silent auction will also be held as part of the fundraiser.

All proceeds will go to saving the lives of lost and abandoned dogs and cats at the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary. Since its inception in 2002, the no-kill, non-profit sanctuary has saved and found new loving homes for over 2000 pets. The sanctuary is staffed by unpaid volunteers and totally funded by individual contributions and fundraisers.

To purchase tickets, send a check made out to Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary, and a note with the names of those attending and a contact number, to: PO Box 159, Fallbrook, Calif., 92088. For a return receipt, include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Silvergate is located at 420 Elbrook Drive, Fallbrook, Calif. 92028. To purchase tickets, call (760) 685-0012 by June 1.
