Activity on Camp Pendleton to result in increased noise level through Monday

CAMP PENDLETON - Upcoming artillery live fire and aircraft operations are likely to increase noise levels on Camp Pendleton tomorrow through Monday.

Camp Pendleton units will be firing high-explosive munitions into the Whiskey and Zulu impact areas from 12 a.m. Thursday until 12 a.m. Friday, and until 2 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday as part of artillery training.

In addition, F-18 and AV-8 aircrafts will conduct low-altitude flight exercises from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, sounds may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
