Best of Ballet Society to perform

FALLBROOK – Ballet Society will be celebrating their “Decade of Dance” on June 19, 2 p.m., at the Bob Burton Performing Arts Theater. The show will highlight the “Best of Ballet Society” with excerpts from “Sleeping Beauty,” “Swan Lake,” and other ballets presented by the school throughout the past 10 years.

Former teacher Jenni Majdick will be returning from UC Irvine to dance the role of Aurora from the “Sleeping Beauty” excerpt as she did in 2008. Many of the participants started out in 2000 as novices and are now the senior dancers.

Five dancers, who performed as young children in the “Nutcracker” many years ago, will be featured in senior roles. Rebecka Hebb and Rebecca Olson will be performing the “Jewel Pas de Trois,” Anzy McWha and Samantha Geikie will be dancing a Jazz selection, and Tori Olson will be dancing in “Swan Lake.”

Director Jackie Hepner encourages former students to attend. They will be given a free ticket to the show and reception.

They can reach her by calling (760) 728-7360.
