Big rig carrying gravel overturns on SR76; traffic affected for hours

The California Highway Patrol reports that a big rig carrying a load of gravel overturned on State Route 76 near Calle Del Vuelta (east of River Village Shopping Center) today shortly after 2 p.m. and the recovery operation will likely impact traffic until at least 6 p.m. this evening.

"Right now traffic is inching through the area but officers will have to close the roadway in both directions shortly to remove the big rig," said Sgt. Lew Hall.
