Free disaster preparedness classes, wildland fire seminar offered

FALLBROOK – North County Fire will team up with North County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to offer free disaster preparedness classes and a wildland fire seminar.

Learn how to prepare your home and family for possible disasters such as fire and earthquake, as well as how to help your neighbors and community during an actual event. North County CERT offers training classes at no cost to residents of the communities of Fallbrook, Bonsall, and Rainbow on an ongoing basis. Classes are held once a week for nine weeks and culminate in a live action drill and graduation.

North County CERT also offers advanced training opportunities, as well as continuing education at monthly meetings.

Don’t miss Fire Marshal Sid Morel’s training on wildland fire issues that will be presented June 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Living Waters Church, 2000 Reche Road. Please RSVP to North County Fire at (760) 723-2010.
