Armed robbery occurs at Fallbrook Radio Shack store

An armed robber made off with inventory and cash from the Fallbrook Radio Shack store at 1075 South Mission Road on June 1, at about 8:30 p.m.

Sgt. Ron McCracken of the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation said the robber can only be described at this time as a Hispanic male adult.

“The man came in the store and was looking at digital cameras on display,” said McCracken. “He eventually took some cameras to the counter under the auspice of asking questions about them and then, while the clerk was explaining the warranties on the items, he brandished a firearm and demanded all the money from the cash register.”

McCracken said the clerk handed over the money to the robber after which he fled the store with the cash, two digital cameras, a cleaning CD, and a memory card.

“He is still at large at this time,” said McCracken.
