Sheriff's Substation front office to be closed June 14-16

The front office of the Fallbrook substation of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department will be closed to the public Monday, June 14 through Wednesday, June 16 due to construction work.

"It is just a temporary closure for three days while the work is being done, but people won't be able to access the front counter" said Lt. Phil Brust.

Brust said if citizens need counter help during that time, they will be referred to the Vista Station, located at 325 S. Melrose Drive, Vista, which can be reached by calling (760) 940-4551. Items that are typically handled at the front counter include having tickets signed off, providing copies of reports, etc.

"If someone needs to file a report, they can call us as usual and we will send a deputy out to take the report," said Brust.

The staff inside the Fallbrook substation will still be handling incoming phone calls, although the public counter won't be open. The Fallbrook substation phone number is (760) 451-3100.

The construction project involves resurfacing floors, repainting the lobby area, and work needed on a restroom, Brust said.
