The general consensus is that selecting the Highway 76 Northern Route is a very dangerous alternative.
It seems that the northern route has been etched in stone since the very beginning. Whatever the people say goes on deaf ears. Where is the legally mandated set of duplicate plans/costs, etc., for an alternative route? Multiple people have stated the terrible problem of the currently dangerous ingress/egress. How is this going to improve with higher speeds and more traffic?
We feel that CalTrans has to listen to the populace and has had a closed ear. We have waited too long for the improvements to have them become a political farce.
