Camp Pendleton warns of tank noise over the next week

CAMP PENDLETON - Don't worry about the thunder coming from Camp Pendleton tomorrow and next week -- it's just tank shooting practice.

Live fire training will start about 10 a.m. tomorrow and wrap up about 2 p.m. Saturday, continuing during the same hours through Friday, according to Camp Pendleton's public affairs office.

The cannon fire may be heard up to 50 miles away, depending on atmospheric conditions....
