Dear Dr. Clements,

It was a pleasure to see you the other day and share our experiences at “The Club” (Senior/Adult Day Care Center). ‘The Club’ has been a source of thoughtful care that I had imagined impossible to find. My husband, Jim, has been experiencing the effects of advanced Alzheimer’s disease the past few years. Many close friends had seen the problems I was facing in everyday life as a caretaker-spouse and offered many “suggestions” to me. I listened to them all politely, but thought I could provide the total care that Jim required. The physical demands alone began to take a toll on me and I finally decided to give ‘The Club’ a try.

Whatever fears I harbored faded upon meeting Teddie, the center administrator. I immediately sensed her concern, care, experience, and patience in elder care. ‘The Club’ came highly recommended by personal friends as well as local medical professionals that have been treating Jim.

Each day Jim is scheduled to attend ‘The Club’, he greets those days with an additional amount of anticipation. He benefits greatly from being in a social environment that provides interaction with the other club attendees and the special staff members.

The hand-crafted gifts and treats that Jim arrives home with from time-to-time are even more evidence of how the staff involve each and every ‘club member’ in activities. Thank you for your direction as a board member of the Foundation for Senior Care. The community of Fallbrook is truly graced to have such an excellent source of care.
