Senior center has new activities

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Senior Center is now offering ballroom dancing lessons every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. All couples are welcome. Anyone interested who needs a partner can call (760) 728-4498 and leave their name and number and the staff will try to find that person a partner. Cha-Cha lessons continue through July and Tango lessons begin in August. All classes are taught by dance instructor Edith Ryder. Other activities at the senior center are exercises classes on Monday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. and day trips to local casinos. Their next trip is to Harrah’s on July 21. Also, a seven day, six night trip to New Mexico from Sept. 13 to 19 is on tap.

The Knit Wits, a knitting group, continue their meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m., working on their projects for their neighbors at Camp Pendleton. They recently paired with the VFW ladies on a baby shower for Pendleton mothers. Donations of good yarn may be left at the office, earmarked for Gigi, chairman of the group.
