Bassett named pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church

FALLBROOK – Caleb Bassett will be ordained and installed as pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Fallbrook on Sunday, August 1 at 4 p.m. The public is invited to the service.

Bassett, born in Bellville, Texas, on June 2, 1982, graduated from Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, Wis. in 2001 and received his bachelor of art degree in 2006 from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn. The final stage of his pastoral studies came at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wis. Part of his seminary training included a one-year internship at Faith Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta.

Pastor Bassett earned a Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in May of this year. Upon his graduation he was assigned to serve as pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Fallbrook.

In June of 2006 Pastor Bassett married his wife Audra, who grew up in Wisconsin. She graduated from Martin Luther College in 2005 with a bachelor of science in education. The couple has an 18-month old daughter, Lily, and are expecting a second child in November.
