ESCONDIDO - Cypress Court/Kisco Senior LIV and NETA, a non-profit fitness professional association, are co-sponsoring the following nationally recognized workshops:

Group exercise certification

On Saturday, Aug. 14, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. potential and current fitness instructors will learn basic academic and practical application of teaching group exercise. No college, science, or teaching background required. Workshop registration includes a full-day review, written exam, two-year certificate and membership.

Ultimate balance challenge

On Sunday, Aug. 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., individuals can learn about balance training, the most forgotten aspect of any training program. Participants will have an opportunity to get reconnected to their center of gravity by taking a step by step process to training balance in the body. Utilizing various equipments, unstable environments and the power of the core, participants will learn how to optimize balance training in their workouts in order to maximize power potential.
