Fallbrook's Straub Construction completes Pendleton's new Force Intelligence Operation Center

A ribbon-cutting ceremony which unveiled the newly designed Force Intelligence Operations Center (FIOC) took place at the 16 Area helicopter landing zone on Camp Pendleton, June 23. The building contractor for the project was Straub Construction Inc., based in Fallbrook.

The project cost $46.7 million to create and will serve as a training facility for Marines attached to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. The new training facility earned a gold rating in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System.
