'Taste of Fallbrook' scheduled for July 30

FALLBROOK – On Friday evening, July 30, Connections Fallbrook Networking will present its 2010 ‘Taste of Fallbrook,’ at which residents and guests can purchase a ticket ($15) to sample fare from at least 15 chefs and restaurants, all vying for top honors.

Part of the organization’s Hot Summer Nites series, the event will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until sundown and feature live music by Aunt Kizzy’z Boyz, a beer and wine garden, celebrity food judges, food and fun.

Celebrity judges Little Tommy Sablan and Laura Cain of the Jeff & Jer Showgram will taste the locally prepared cuisine along with guest judge Anita Bartram, fitness trainer and model.

Vintage and classic cars will also be on display for viewing along Main Avenue, south of Alvarado Street.

Admission to Hot Summer Nites is free; tickets are only sold for the food-tasting portion of the event and are available in advance at A Few of Our Favorite Things, Oak Tree Suites, and the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce office.

Main Avenue will be closed from Fig to Ivy streets beginning at 4.30 p.m. for the event. Plenty of parking is available behind the Fallbrook Art Center and on side streets. No pets, skateboards or bicycles are permitted in the event area.
