Gunnery Sgt. Christopher Eastman killed in Afghanistan

SACRAMENTO - Gunnery Sergeant Christopher L. Eastman, 28, of Moose Pass, Alaska, was killed July 18 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Eastman was assigned to the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, U.S. Marine Corps, Camp Pendleton.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued the following statement regarding the death of Gunnery Sgt. Eastman.
