Host families needed for exchange students

FALLBROOK – International high school exchange students are coming to study in the Fallbrook area during the 2010-11 school year. These students will integrate themselves into a Fallbrook area family with the goal of experiencing American culture as an American high school student does. In turn, they will provide insight into their own culture.

STS Foundation, a non-profit student exchange organization, is proud to help facilitate these relationships. They have been doing so for more than 20 years and look forward to finding new host families in Fallbrook and connecting them with exchange students. STS is looking for host families in the area for students Esteban and Tuija.

Esteban is a 16 year old boy from Cuincy, France. He loves playing soccer, but would also like to try playing American sports. He enjoys playing table tennis and likes to cook traditional French food.

Tuija is a 16 year old girl from Helsinki, Finland. She has trained as a competitive swimmer for four years and is also fond of ice hockey and soccer. Tuija loves the outdoors and is very excited to experience an American high school.

They are both excellent students and will have their own spending money and health insurance.

The host family provides a separate bed, family meals and a safe environment. Any family that is interested in being a host for one of these students can call Lillian at (800) 522-4678 or send an email to [email protected]. For more information, visit http://www.stsfoundation.org.
