Missing 65-year-old man located

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that the 65-year-old man that was reported missing shortly before 5:30 p.m. today from the 3000 block of Sage Road in Fallbrook has been located.

"He was located a short time later along the same road," said Sheriff's Lt. Nolan. "He was not harmed in any way."

The Sheriff's department utilized its ASTREA helicopter in the search for the man, circling above the Pala Mesa area of Fallbrook broadcasting a message that included a description of the man.

Helicopter up over Pala Mesa area searching for 65-year-old man

The Sheriff's Department launched its ASTREA helicopter at approximately 5:35 p.m. to search the Pala Mesa area for a missing 65-year-old man.

According to the Sheriff's communication center, the man was last seen in the 3000 block of Sage Road, and is wearing a red ball cap, red and white shirt, and white pants.

Information on the man's individual situation was not released.

The helicopter is currently circling an area including State Route 76, Sage Road, Sumac, Wilt Road, Pala Mesa Drive and Old Highway 395.

Anyone with information on the man's location is asked to call the Sheriff's Communication Center at (858) 565-5200.
