Car Club donates to Student of Month program

FALLBROOK – Roy Moosa, president of the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club, recently presented a donation on behalf of the organization to Kim Olsen and Linda Promack, representatives of the Fallbrook Community Student of the Month program.

The Fallbrook Community Student of the Month Program was initiated in 1997 by Assemblyman Bruce Thompson and his legislative aide Nan Hampton. The purpose

of the program is to recognize outstanding students in the Fallbrook Union High School District at a monthly breakfast at the Fallbrook Golf Club. In addition to their accomplishments being highlighted to the audience of attendees, the students are also honored with gifts from community supporters.

The Fallbrook Vintage Car Club held its 45th consecutive vintage car show over Memorial Day weekend, and proceeds from that event allow the club to make contributions to local charities throughout the year. The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Fallbrook woman’s Club, 238 W. Mission Road.
