Saturday night is for families at United Methodist

FALLBROOK - Fallbrook United Methodist Church and its pastor, Rev. Brad Resare, are introducing a new monthly Saturday evening family spiritual growth opportunity designed for the whole family and for those seeking a family type experience.

Their first Son-Set Family Fellowship Experience will be held on Saturday, August 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will a wonderful musical opening with testimony to kick off the hosted barbecue. The whole event will be held in the open-air church amphitheater where participants can meet new people or just share close time with family members. Dinner will be followed by a time of contemporary and relevant light worship. The people of Fallbrook live their Faith and members and guests will be given a brief exercise to respond to what they learn in a short, guided breakout time among family and friends.

Participants are welcomed to come dressed as they are and bring an open mind. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to rethink and/or re-experience one’s spiritual side.

The schedule is designed for individuals to pick and choose if they wish to attend portions of the event. The schedule will be: 5 to 5:15 p.m. - opening devotion and music; 5:15 to 6 p.m. - barbecue and picnic; 6 to 6:45 a.m. – worship; 6:45 to 7 p.m. – breakout.

This week’s focus will be on “Creative Prayer.” Visitors are welcome to part or all of the festivities. Bring the whole family.

United Methodist Church is located at 1844 Winterhaven Rd. (Winterhaven at Green Canyon Rd.). For more information, call (760) 728-1472.
