Fallbrook Chamber Orchestra to kickoff new season

FALLBROOK – Musicians of all ages will be unpacking their music cases, rosining their bows, tuning their flutes and honing their music skills as the Fallbrook Chamber Orchestra embarks on their 2010-11 season.

To highlight the upcoming season, the orchestra will be performing with the Fallbrook Chorale on Dec. 11 at the Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts, under the direction of Art Blodgett. In addition, the orchestra will be giving several performances throughout Fallbrook.

Barbara Martin, cellist, launched the chamber orchestra in 2002, as an outlet for local musicians to have the opportunity to perform chamber music for their community.

Local musicians are welcome to join them in mastering the classics such as the Cannon in D by Pachelbel and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. The orchestra rehearses on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Community Baptist Church, 731 S. Stagecoach Lane and will begin September 13.
