Open House at North County Fire Oct. 9

FALLBROOK – The North County Fire Protection District has announced it will holds its annual Open House on Sat., Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the station located at 315 E. Ivy Street.

Families will have an opportunity to meet Smokey, Pluggie, and Stella the Search and Rescue Dog.

Live fire department demonstrations will take place and youth will have an opportunity to participate in an interactive children’s area.

Antique fire engines, rescue and law enforcement vehicles and helicopters will be on display.

Free smoke alarms will be handed out (one per family) by the Fallbrook Firefighters and The Burn Institute, while supplies last.

Fire Explorer Post #2740 will offer hot dogs, chili, nachos and popcorn at the event as a fundraiser.
