Art workshop focuses on mixing colors

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook School of the Arts Visiting Artist Workshop Series continues this October 4 to 8 with artist and educator Nancy Collins from Mendocino. Collins has a passion for watercolor, more specifically a fascination with color itself.

In this color theory class, “The Magic of Mixing Color,” Collins will explain her philosophy: manipulation of color can control a depth of feeling and can transform a painting from good to great.

She has won several awards, as well as participated in several solo exhibits of her work. Her publications include The American Artist Magazine and the book “How Did You Paint That?” In her class, she will help students understand the aspects of mixing and applying color and creating the wow effect in their own painting.
