Southbound I-15 vehicle/brush fire near Rainbow Valley Blvd. fully contained

UPDATE SATURDAY, SEPT. 25, 2010 8:30 am

RAINBOW/TEMECULA - The brush fire that caused backed-up traffic for several hours in both directions is 100% contained as of 8:05 pm last night. Full control still estimated for noon today. There is a day assignment consisting of 2 fire engines, 2 fire crews and one water tender that will remain on the scene today. There is still one lane closed for firefighting apparatus. According to CAL FIRE the fire was 5 acres with a slow rate of spread through very dense vegetation.

Local observation was that it was attacked so hard from so many different agencies...
